Interview with Valley Fontaine ‘It’s all about HAIR’!

Jacqui went to BBC Broadcasting house to catch up with  Valley Fontaine,  journalist by day, hair aficionado by night!  about all things natural hair.  Valley shared her expertise on misinformation about hair, how to avoid the 16/61 look, wearing wigs – the phrase ‘wig in a handbag’ was indeed coined during this catch up. Celebrate Black History month this Friday 3rd October with Jacqui Grant in interview with Empressjai on the life and times of the late Maya Angelou, the African American author, poet, dancer, actress and singer who sadly passed away in May this year at the age of 86. As well as a recital of one of Maya’s famous poems, Empressjai also brings with her an exciting playlist that features Labi Sifri, The Lighthouse Family, Will Dowling and Randy Crawford.
